Department of Agricultural Management and Development

 

 

Foundation of Department of Agricultural Management and Development was proposed simultaneously with the faculty of agricultural economics and development in 2004, but it was officially founded in 2009 in the new building of the faculty of agricultural economics and development. This faculty currently has three departments including agricultural economics (1963), agricultural extension and education (1971) and agricultural management and development (2009). Developing the insight, knowledge and skills of human resources in the direction of globalization, combating global warming and taking the required actions to achieve sustainability in development are some of the key challenges of the twenty-first century. Dealing with such challenges requires promotion in system thinking, software movements, observance and improvement of sustainable development indicators along with environmental characteristics, which it needs to develop a more comprehensive, systemic and scientific management. Agricultural management and development department was founded in line with these new and fundamental approaches to the Third Millennium. According to the requirements for the optimal utilization of various resources, including production and human resources, the mission of this department is the promotion of knowledge and academic excellence students in these fields. this mission is done with providing the context of studying in three disciplines and two educational levels includes agricultural management and rural development in the postgraduate (MSc.) and agricultural development field at Ph.D.
